Touching lives through art

Dear Editor:

I would like to publicly express our appreciation to the Fine Arts League for including the young people of Assurance Home and the James Ranch Youth Shelter in their activities.

The Fine Arts League has been so good at sending members to teach our children art on weekends. They have supported our youngsters by including their works in their annual Juried Art Show and made sure their art works were properly presented. They even paid for framing and matting.

Many of our youth who entered the show won awards and cash prizes and the Fine Arts League made sure that every child who participated was rewarded for their efforts.

What a wonderful contribution the Fine Arts League makes to our community. Not only do they create beauty in their art, they also lovingly reach out and create beauty in the lives of homeless and at-risk children.
